SmartOps24x7 and WIPtracker support an orders based model for operations management.
In an orders-based management model: purchase, receiving, move, work/manufacturing, picking and packing and shipping orders are created in response to the incoming flow of customer orders. These orders are then used to drive the actions of purchasing, warehouse, production, and shipping/logistics teams, which may be at multiple sites.
Doing this manually, can be a tedious, labor intensive, and error-prone process which is best left to intelligent agents.
When SmartOps24x7 agents generate operational orders, these can be sent to WIPtracker, where they are used to control materials movement and production processes. The resultant operations and inventory tracking data is then sent back to SmartOps24x7 where it is used to update the Operations Management Database.
SmartOps24x7 agents can also generate purchase requisitions, based on predicted demand for materials , which can be sent to an ERP system, for use by the purchasing department. Alternately purchase orders can be automatically generated and automatically sent to suppliers.
SmartOps24x7 agents can dynamically plan when orders need to be carried out with WIPtracker doing the real-time scheduling to keep customer order deliveries on schedule.
